Harmonised tropospheric ozone column satellite data

Harmonised satellite Climate Data Records of monthly 1° latitude x 1° longitude gridded tropospheric ozone columns for the period 2003-2023, described in Keppens et al. (2025, https://doi.org/10.5194/amt-18-6893-2025). Permanent link to data archive https://doi.org/10.18758/r7u4z0he (CC BY 4.0).

This data record contains 16 satellite tropospheric ozone column Climate Data Records (monthly, 1° latitude x 1° longitude gridded) that were processed to harmonise their vertical top levels as well as their prior information. The netCDF file contains the following data records with various horizontal and temporal coverages: GOME, SCIAMACHY, OMI, GOME-2A, and GOME-2B (RAL/ESA); GOP-ECV (DLR/ESA); TROPOMI (KNMI/ESA); IASI-CDR (ULB/LATMOS/EUMETSAT); IASI-GOME2-B (LISA/AERIS); GTTO-ECV (DLR/BIRA-IASB/ESA); GTO-LIMB and OMI-LIMB (FMI/DLR/ESA); OMPS-LNM (IUP-UB); and OMI-MLS, OMPS-MERRA2, and EPIC-MERRA2 (GSFC/NASA). The Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service ReAnalysis (CAMSRA) was used as a transfer standard for harmonisation, limiting the output CDRs to 2003-2023.

TOAR-II assessment : combined satellite tropospheric ozone data

Combined satellite tropospheric ozone column data (monthly gridded 1° latitude x 1° longitude) for the period 2005-2022, described in Hubert et al. (Phil. Trans. R. Soc. A, https://doi.org/10.1098/rsta.2025.0274, accepted for publication). Permanent link to data archive https://doi.org/10.18758/39zdhztg (CC BY 4.0).
